Looking for jazz music in the capital? On the 1st September 2017, Caffe Cordina will be holding the Gypsy Jazz Night.
This amazing ensemble is led by renowned multi-talented George Curmi il-Puse' on violin and saxophone, Yuri on accordion, Joshua Bray and Steve Delia (id-Delli) on guitars and Anthony Saliba (il-Fesu) on Double Bass. The five-piece band will be accompanied by guest singer Larissa. The sound is very different to what you might expect of traditional jazz and one is to expect an evening of Manouche and Romani Gypsy music, early jazz and Django classics. Kicking off at 8pm, the evenings will take place in one of Valletta’s most iconic piazzas – Pjazza Regina, where you will be able to enjoy the swinging music, whilst absorbing the magical setting. Caffe Cordina will be offering the customary delights from a well assorted food menu and wine list. Championing the best gypsy jazz sounds straight from the heart of Paris, we guarantee you an acoustic feast for all music lovers.
